INTERNATIONAL PATENT GROUP, LLC is an intellectual property (IP) firm located in Tampa, Florida and in Calgary, Alberta. We provide services to clients throughout North America and the world through the Internet, telephone, and postal services. Our practice is oriented towards serving the unique goals and requirements of small business, individual inventors, large corporations, and IP firms. Key to our success is our quality customer service, broad capabilities, and extreme flexibility in working with our clients to suit their particular IP protection needs. Unfortunately, most patent practitioners have a one-size-fits-all approach that often scares away most individual inventors and significantly limits the patent portfolio size of small businesses and corporations.

The president of International Patent Group is David A. Guerra who is a licensed U.S. patent agent, and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Florida. David Guerra is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has conducted tens of thousands of patent searches ranging from patentability, clearance, validity, collection, infringement, state of the art, and has written and prosecuted many patent applications, including PCT national stage applications. Prior to creating International Patent Group, Mr. Guerra was the leading search manager for one of the largest patent service companies in the United States. During his time there, Mr. Guerra has trained and managed patent agents and over 30 engineers in intellectual proper law, patent drafting, and patent searching. He was also involved in the development of one of the only privately owned searchable patent databases.
